Not sure if this is the right place, but:
I'm looking to take online AutoCAD classes in a short amount of time and found Ashworth College that offers certification in it and at a really cheap price at $750 up front.
Is this school legitimate?

Yeah but companies only seem to hire people who are certified. and the only way to be certified from what I can find is through paid courses first.
I've been learning it on my free tie on online courses for free but still.

Certification requires a test authorized by the company. Look up if the place is on Autodesk's or whatever companies' certified facilities.

Who is this extremely attractive cunt?
Go look on the autoCAD website if there is someone they have an agreement with to give official certifications in your area. Then get on cgpeers and download a bunch of courses and study for free. Go get certified when you're done.

when you apply for a professional job, they won't care about your library card and what books you rented out, they will only care about a degree, and degrees are not for free.

Learn on your own, make a bunch of cad files, then set up a site and show your work. Add your site url to your resume/CV, and you can expect to hear a call under a month.
What is AutoCAD used for? Making chip masks and such?

AutoCAD is a meme. Real pros use OpenSCAD.

It's used in the design half of engineering.
It is the #1 2D CAD software by market share with 3D capabilities
