Probably going to buy this masterpiece again. The Nokia E72, basically the thinkpad of mobile phones.

Is there anyone that uses a Symbian S60 phone as well?

Android/Apple manchildren go discuss your snapchat devices somewhere else.
>>
Funniest thing is that when I was moving files I had a password protected sd in there so I needed to circumvent the password. The password file is in some cases stored as a plain text file in the phone so I downloadeda bunch of utilities to get it. Anyway, it had lots of malware processes like 'harvester' and a bunch of very suspicious shit. If you're doing this for security then forget it, especially since symbian is dead.
>>
>>51557537
Nah just for nostalgia, I always wanted to have an E72 (I had an E63 myself) and nowadays they go very cheap, and apparently Whatsapp still supports Symbian.
>>
>>51557387
I have an E71 and an E73 kicking around but I use an Androod phone as my daily. I know the hardware is almost Apple-tier quality, but is S60 really that great?

Why spend $100 on something when you can get the same job done on a $20 device?
>>
>>51557724
Because if you need the $80 you don't need a new phone.
>>
>>51557777
Why "need"? Isn't there's a lot of cool stuff you can spend a free $80 on?
>>
>>51557777
$20 for a device that can provide you in all your needs for connectivity is pretty decent if you ask me.
>>
I had the Nokia e73 mode. It almost looked exactly like the one you posted OP. To this day it's still my favorite phone.
>>
>>51557646
OP here, no S60 isn't really good or anything hence it's no longer used (outside of India maybe).

However it is simple and used on some godtier devices in terms of build quality.
>>
>>51557998

Think it's still usable these days, there's whatsapp, nokia maps, opera probably still works. Don't know what's the status with push mail, probably could get something working through exchange.

The thing that killed S60 for me was no evernote or any other cloud note taking app so back in the days I switched to iphone and shortly afterwards to andro.

As for build quality I was not really that impressed, lots of quality issues with nokia phones to the point that no two phones where exactly the same, display tint, RF performance, camera focus, earpiece volume, you name it, it was all over the place.

Those who don't miss symbian are hearthless, those who still operate symbian might be fools.

Man it was so awful but brings back so much nostalgia. I had a Motorola cliq XT as my first smart phone a few years so. It was such a slow piece of shit but I loved it when I got CyanogenMod on it.

Well there have been improvements over the years, of course, but that general feel of 2.3 Gingerbread still hasn't been beaten. Best Android version ever.

On a physical keyboard phone I also wany yo be able to use physical keys to answer and end calls.
Also, I hate swiping to answer, as on every touch phone I've ever had, the screen freezes sometimes (very rarely, but still...) and I have to wait a second or 2 before I can answer. And ringing phone annoys me.

Still my favorite phone ever. Had great build quality, felt great in your hand and BB10 was fun to use. Too bad they only made about 6 apps for the thing.
>>
>>51565025
The only app I've ever used that doesn't work on BB10 is my bank app. And mobile page works well enough.
>>
>>51565058
I'm not talking about workarounds like Snap, I'm talking about non-3rd party apps. Very few of the top apps were avail on BB10. Even if you did get Snap that's 3rd party software itself and no Google Services apps work on it. A shame, really.
>>
>>51565134
yeah, but there's not much they an do about it.
And the only google app I use is google maps, which work well.
>>
>>51565025
The only app I need in a smartphone is a pdf-ebook reader. Does blackberry have a decent one? Or should I try with android apps on the passport?
>>
>>51565602
I've never used anything exceppt the built in pdf reader so I have no idea, if you have access to a passport, try a few apps from BB world.
And since ebook readers are relatively simple, probably 95% of android ones will work
