Do you like bleeding edge or stable packages?
Do you like simple extract-and-run package support or do you want advanced package systems like Arch's pacman, Debian's apt or Fedora's dnf, or do you like simple stuff like Gentoo's extract-and-run system?
Post down, want to create a massive community-made distro
The Linux of Linux distros
Tbh family I like arch and will never go back all these meme are shit
Paxman is a God sent it never broke my packages
I th only problem I ever had is when I started fucking with shit
I love the pleading edge shit
Total cash
If you can install it you should
I love it because anytime I used something Debian based it all ways fucked up my packages and x within a week or so of using it
Gentoo
How is the "extract and run" viable ? Isnt it atrocious with dependencies ?
arch, one tedious install but everything else becomes routine after setting up your system.
pros: pacman, aur, the wiki
cons: I don't think it has any compared to other distros, frequent updates might be a con for some people, but that's the whole point of this distro and also you can update once per month at lest instead of daily

Gentoo and Slackware desu senpai
Arch... Gentoo... I don't know
Arch is faster to set up, Gentoo is faster once it's set up
Arch is easy mode couple seconds install and go
Gentoo is comparing USE flags and seeking out versions and resolving dependency conflicts
Arch is using some preconfigured Kernel without control, but quick updates
Gentoo is using a lightweight kernel with exactly the things you want, but updating requires time and attention
They both have their merits, I'll just keep them both and boot whichever I feel like

Anyone have any thoughts on Manjaro Linux?

Arch with a desktop. I've no idea why people get their panties in such a twist about it.

Thanks
>>51547535
because arch without a desktop is retarded

I'd suggest antergos if you choose this path
>good drivers
>native 3rd party program support for a wide variety of tasks
>doesn't force the user to waste his valuable free time configuring his computer
>low learning curve
... the perfect linux distro was Windows all along
