Even in fast food their dream is to become the manager. Hell look up any video of quotes from a major CEO and you will see Indian commenters talking about how great that person is like they are some god. Probably something to do with showing off that they have triumphed over their third world upbringing or something.

Microsoft has a program to get their Indian employees and their families immigrated to the US, Canada, Europe, etc. It's pretty common for their programmers to get contracts like "work for us in India for five years, do a really good job, and we'll transfer you to the Redmond office". MS can get the emigration approved in a few months with close to a 100% success rate. Most companies don't have that kind of power or aren't as willing to use it.
