Never buy noname brands for complicated electronics like SSD, only buy trusty brands like Intel.
They're negligibly more expensive, but the verification and quality is leagues better.
It's like comparing a Chinese to an American car, they both have the same numbers on paper but the difference is day and night.

I will always buy Intel™ because I only play games with Intel Inside™. Intel also pioneers innovative new technologies like Hyper Threading Technology™, Intel Rapid Start Technology™ and the highest quality chipsets to ever grace motherboards.
When I boot up with a brand new Intel™ i7™ with the latest Z chipset, I can enjoy the games the way they where meant to be with Intel Inside™. Intel™ also delivers a far more silkysmooth experience with its Hyper Threading Technology™.
Intel i5™ is also very power efficient. A processor is the most power hungry device in your house. Air conditioners, water heaters, lights, etc all use less power than a processor. Which is why Intel™ puts gamers first by ensuring that their gaming experience is of the highest quality while looking out for gamers by giving them the most value in their electrical bill.
At this point in time, there's really no reasons to consider an AMD processor at all. I tried once, it caused so much heat that it exploded and nearly burnt down my house. It also consumed so much power that it produced an EMP and destroyed not only the rest of my computer but my entire neighborhood.
Intel™ also pioneered how useless MORE CORES is with the i™ series processors. Years ago, everyone thought MORE CORES were the future. Now, Intel™ has debunked that myth entirely and increased efficiency. Now you can save thousands a year in electricity thanks to Intel™ with its powerful IPC. MORE CORES will never be part of Intel's™ line up.
It's quite clear that OPs an AMD shill trying to convince you to settle on something less than the optimal experience with Intel Inside™. Intel™ is the only real way to play games. We have seen recently that they offer incredible libraries for software developers like Intel C++ Compiler. He is probably too poor to afford the Intel Inside™ experience and can not afford to play any games.
Don't be a poor gamer with bad chipsets and a huge power bills. Play games with Intel Inside™

i have a crucial m500 240gb, mx200 250gb, and bx100 250gb. also a samsung 850 evo m.2 250gb ssd.

so far, no complaints. they all have been running great.

if you're looking for a great game storage drive you can't beat that bx100 500gb. its absolutely fantastic as a game storage drive.

also don't forget about samsung and the 840 evo line

they are one of the very few large ones who have clean slate on the fuck up front

Did alright. Newegg gave me a free $10 coupon as a customer reward, so I used it to replace my Sanidsk Ultra plus 128 GB SSD with this one:

Nothing wrong with the Sandisk, but the reliability and increased size of the AMD-Radeon (an OCZ rebrand) will be nice, and there should be a noticeable performance bump.

I had been hoping to get something like an 850 EVO / 250 GB SSD, for ~$65, but I think this will be an acceptable trade-off. Lose a little space, reliability should be at least the same, and performance should rival an 850 Pro. For $55.

Expecting delivery tomorrow and clone over my system sometime during the weekend. Might even install fresh Win7 Ult since my existing install is from mid-2013 and has had a fair number of test software 7 games installed/uninstalled. Be a good time to begin with a fresh registry and block out the worst of the botnet updates.

>>
>>51546768

You would want the 960, especially with 4 GB and a base clock in the ~1250 MHz range. Easily outperforms the 580 and uses something like half (or less) the electricity to do it.

This one:

was available for $179.99 w/ free delivery last week. At that price, it's just silly to even waste time looking at 580s.

>>
>>51550168
> if they actually made RAM

Not forgetting Sandisk has nearly owned the flash memory market for two decades.

Sandisk does not have a reputation for the highest performance, especially at the budget end.

But, they are as reliable or more than most every brand on the market. For about 95% of all uses, the minor performance hit makes no difference to end-users.

I'd much rather have an SSD that I have some confidence will not shit itself without warning and erase critical data & files from my life. Sandisk is a MUCH better bet than most.

As a matter of fact, I have two 60 GB and a 128 GB Sandisk SSD in service since mid-2013-ish or so. Been very happy with them. The only thing I don't use them for is heavy gaymeming. I lost a Samsung 830 and a Vertex 4 after ~100 hours or so of service each ... which I got to eventually replace the Sandisk drives. Never happened. Ended up keeping those systems on the Sandisk SSDs and no regrets, apart from dropping ~$130 on the 128 GB 830 and ~$140 on the 128 GB Vertex4. Samsung did right by me and I eventually got an 840 out of it; the Vertex was a complete write off and is performing service in a landfill somewhere.
