Hey /g/, I'm in the market for a new gaming laptop. My old HP Pavilion overheats like a motherfucker.
I'm looking for a laptop that will be competent at playing modern games. Probably 1080p. At least 8gb of ram. Solid Construction. 15 inch screen or bigger. Preferably not too much more than $1000 dollars (Though many laptops I'm considering are a little more pricey).
Here are some laptops I'm considering

>Aorus X5
>Hp Omen 15
>Dell XPS 15
>Alienware 15
Any other recommendations? Do any of these laptops look good? Also, I have no idea how to navigate the MSI website to figure out which would suit me best, there are so many lines and models. What laptop would you guys recommend I get?
Also, I should mention build quality is important to me. I want to keep my laptop around for 4+ years. I don't want the thing to fall apart or burn up on me.

Look, I don't care about running games on the highest possible settings. I just want a decent experience. The laptop will be used for other things besides gaming too. I can't buy a desktop. It has to be somewhat portable.
Overheating is somewhat of a feature of HP laptops, so I would definitely advice against getting another one.

I would go for the HP one, since it has a reasonable price for the price and doesn't have any unnecessary hardware (8 gb RAM is enought, you only need SSD and GPU is the focus). btw I'm only doing this becouse my gf had a gaming laptop and used it regularly, but she is getting a PC soon so...

check the one that does not overheat or throttle less, you should be able to play on low.
