hi guys, just trying to piss on the shit they're giving to us in college (like Java) and try C language
and I have 2 questions: Which IDE are u using for C, and which book would you suggest for me (for now I've got ANSI C from Ritchie)

Linux
As much as java might be a slow and meh language, it is an industry standard and one of the most used languages in the world. That said, I use VIM for c code, though emacs is fine too.
vim,clang
and what about GUI creation? qt or smth?
a book, guise? please, amigo
>>51520658
Visual Studio
>>51520768
so I write in vim, and paste it to VS?
and what about online docs? cuz I've checked this: http://en.cppreference.com/w/c, and I guess it's not that big
Java is very nice. You will have much more pleasant time with Java.
If you still want to go C route, Visual Studio is great, for windows; and for Linux (as well as for Windows if you want to go full FOSS) Qt Creator is a wonderful IDE, almost as good as Visual Studio. Don't let the name confuse you, Qt Creator lets you write programs that don't use Qt.

A plain text editor and the book you already have. Personally, I use Emacs.
