Why put a custom rom on it ? It works pretty fine the way it is.
I can root it from what I find on xda anyway. There aren't pretty much any roms for it. It released this september.

If you can't which is likely since it runs on a mediakek soc, see if you can root it and try to install xposed on it. If you can't, which is also likely, at least get nova launcher instead of that abomination of a tryhard ios ripoff launcher, and try your best not to cry because you got a chinkphone with a burnin gay-moled panel which will never get updates on its' bloated commie botnet rom.
