What's the average wait time for an account?
~ 1 month

>he's too dumb to run his own mail server
>he has to depend on, "all the OTHER GUYS spy on you, but we don't, we promise"
>>51512747
How hard would that be to do?
>>51512747
>le do it yourself meme
>>51512987
That's a stupid question.

Please stop being so autistic.
>>51513079
If only it were as easy as telling someone who was mentally challenged to stop being mentally challenged to make them normal.
>>51512692
I've been waiting for more than a year
I think I'm doing something wrong.
>>51513055
>>51513079
I've looked into it before, looks like it's more trouble than it's worth. I have to buy a domain and a server, and then make sure I don't fuck anything up and get blacklisted?
>>51512987
Ignore the shitposters: it's easy if you run something already set up like Dovecot, but if you want to roll your own, there are a lot of moving parts, and it will be very time-consuming.
Why is this being shilled so hard? What's the difference between this and tutanota or a million other "privacy-minded" email services?

Took me a week without donating.
This was before traffic was pumped through Washington and Isreal though.
traceroute protonmail.ch and whois the jumps. I assume they're helping stop the ddos attacks but considering the second wave was believed to be perpretrated by a nation state I would think twice about the two countries roles.

>tfw i've had an account for three months now withput even waiting
>>51512692
Like a week,
took me about a month
completely forgot about it too until i saw my acceptance email
I just got mine, took about 2weeks
Got it today, I'm afraid that people with take like the paranoid nerd with the "@protonmail.com"
>>51514883
Im using .ch right now
What do you mean?
So how does it compare to tutanota?
several weeks, I don't remember
>their mobile app chages 29usd
>fuck
>>51512692
Don't worry, the jews never keep people waiting
>>51513377
because there is at least one protonmail employee who browses /g/.
you could call it literal shilling, but i'm pretty sure they are engineers or admins of some sort.

>>51514883
who cares what they think. what are you, still in high school?
of course if you mean in the case of a professional email, probably use your own domain for that.
>>51514997
doesnt have custom domain names, mobile apps still under development. tutanota.de ui looks a little better, but it does not have a weird name
>>51513123
Yeah. Re submit. I got mine last spring after 2mo wait. But i kinda prefer tutanota. I dunno. Got both will see how they develop.
On a related note. Fo you guys prefer Zoho or Yandrx for your domain.
Zoho has customer service, no ads and spying. But it's ugly and 5gb.
Yandex has unlimited storage, no limits to domain hosting and a nice interface. But Putin might spy on you or close off the Russian internet.
Email sent to other people is unencrypted so gives zero benefit. Yeah, you have the option of sending a link to read an encrypted mail via a password unlock but that's a pain.
So unless you're doing some super secret emails to other people on the same service what's the point of these accounts?
Otherwise it's just an inferior GMail with a tiny quota.
