Windows 8.1 is the best on a tablet.

I actively want to use linux more often, because CS guy.
But i dont really see any reason to do so.
I am not a leftist freetard, and most reasons to use it are purely ideological.
From the technological side, you can do 99% of things on windows too.

If someone can give me some arguments to use linux, that are non ideology related it'd be happy.

Well i actually am trying to get into penetration testing.
So i actually have a dual boot with kali.

But appart from that i rather use windows.
And even then most of those tools can be used in windows too.

I dont know why linux is associated with computer elites by normies either anon.

Surprisingly Windows XP. I've used every windows since '98 and every OS X. I've also used a few linux distros including Ubuntu. Ubuntu is decent, thinking about getting a used thinkpad just to run it on.

I stayed with GNU/Linux because I liked the tinkering, being able to change literally everything about how my computer works, not having to wait for hundreds of Windows updates and after I used Xubuntu for 2 weeks, I felt the same way about Windows that you feel now about Linux. I just don't see any reason to go back.
Also, thanks to the lack of games I stopped being a lazy fuck and learned Python instead of arguing with russians in CS:GO. It actually made me grow up a bit.

Kosher Unix and all the applications you need.

Well the game thing is one of the reasons i actually use windows, i play loads of them.

Ofc you cant twist the inability of the system to play most games as a bonus, but its just something it cannot do.
>>
>>51508382
The earlier you realize games are a waste of time, the better for you.

Debian Stable is the best Linux distro.
Linux have done the following for me:
>stopped playing games
>used more time on programming, reading fiction and non-fiction, and socializing
>more privacy
>shorter boot times
>easy way to install packages

Linux have made my life better overall, it hasn't done anything bad for me yet.

Anon, it's not an opinion. Windows XP was very criticized at launch, with most people sticking to Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000. Windows XP only became acceptable after SP2 in 2004, almost 3 years after its original release.

Well, some people consider games as an art form and in the indie gaming scene that can be clearly seen. Many people likely said movies were a waste of time at some point but look at all the art that comes from the cinema industry.

Honestly, it's just a matter of how you play games. If you do it all the time, then they are a waste of time. Otherwise, they can be good stress relievers social mixers and tons of other things. But I can tell you that I only really play them when I have time on the weekends, if that, just cause I'd rather spend my time being semi-productive.

I always thought OS X Leopard was smooth, Snow Leopard was a good update but Mavericks was fucking bad as fuck. I'm only 2 days in El Capitan and it seems ok for now.

Out of Windows I'm really liking 8.1. 8 was like Vista experience.
