Before I start, I know I suck for owning a Mac.

I want to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my Macbook Pro, but I have a question. I will be doing it by using Wine, then downloading Steam for Windows and buying the game through that. I found a separate guide to setup an Xbox One controller on Mac, but I am wondering if that will work through Wine and into the game. Would it be the same as setting up a controller on a PC and running it on Steam for Windows?

It doesn't really matter. I would do windows 10 but 8.1 and 10 are also ok.

Just use whatever you like best, any macbook hardware will run BF2 completely fine.
