Would you buy an Mi4 if it was released in the US with North American LTE bands? Is this 1 year old phone still competitive among current offerings?

usa botnet > chn botnet
>>51497679
if it stayed the same cheap price then yes, i wouldn't have anything to lose

>13mp front, 8mp back camera
I'm not a 14 year old girl.

My mistake, I meant 13mp primary camera and 8mp selfie snapper.
doesnt it have no sd card slot?
How easy is tthe root process? Does it have good support?

Lg3 has all of that plus 2160p for 240 usd.
Motorola Nexus 6 is also 299.
So no.
>>51499416
Is there a single phone without them?
>>51498415
what are you fucking stupid
>>51497679
I'd much rather an Mi4c with American LTE Bands
>>51497679
I already have one, also its more like 250 these days , $300 gets you the 64gb model
>>51498318
op fucked up, its the other way around
>>51499230
There are a couple of pre rooted roms out there, root process comes down to flashing miui dev version, this is really easy as the bootloader is unlocked and their pc software lets you flash phone from your pc. international dev version gets weekly updates.

How much is this thing affected by the Chinese botnet?
>>51497679
Using my MI4 LTE (china telecom) right now. Excellent deal for the price.
Really the only downside (imo) is MIUI. We're FINALLY at the point CM12.1 is usable but the camera quality is still mediocre as fuck compared to MIUI.
>>51499230
Just flash the developer rom and you have officially supported root.
>>51499091
Unfortunately not. Probably the only downside in terms of hardware.
>>51503926
If you're sticking with MIUI you're balls deep in the botnet. Don't see that as any worse than the NSA botnet so whatever.

Yeah the SD801 is still totally relevant. It's not stupidly big and the battery life is good.
Wish it had an SD card slot.
