Hey, I'm getting an r9 390 soon. Not sure which one to get. I was leaning towards the sapphire nitro because better cooling, but just found this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131672
they seem equal on GPUBoss, but idk.

Sapphire>MSI. Not only is the cooler more efficient, but it overclocks better more often than not.

Sapphire has the best cooler but pcs+ is cheaper, a fairly good cooler and includes a backplate.

You're correct that their cooling is much more efficient, but while having two 8pin supplementary power connectors their overclock potential is significantly worse. MSI is renowned for picking the highest binned chips from AMD.

And just a tip if you're after a good OCing card in general, if you get a card that barely OC's regardless of voltages/aux just RMA it for coil whine. Make sure you put in you have very sensitive hearing and you bought the graphic card for the 0db for that just so they don't try fuck you around with the RMA for coil whine.
