What are they and are they good? For example, LibreOffice Writer can be replaced with Abiword.
I'm just interested because I don't really need a full suite.
AFAIK you don't really have many options, standalone office productivity software for the most part hasn't been worth a shit anyway in over two decades, especially on POSIX/Unix-like platforms which aren't designed for that kind of work anyway.

Well, although it's probably different from what I'm seeking, there's always LaTeX, right? I have never used it, thoughç
Writer, Math and Impress -> LaTeX
Calc -> IPython
Draw -> Inkscape
Base -> MariaDB
>>51490423
LaTeX then.
>>51490105
You can install fragments of libreoffice if you only want one part.

Not on Windows.

>using free software on a non-free OS
literally why
>>51491430
Why not?
Download Office 97. It works on all Windows and Linux with wine, no serial codes or activation bullshit, it's portable and you can put it on your flash drive, whole thing is ~100mb and you can split it into just the parts you want, for example Word 97 is just 7mb. It consumes almost no RAM and offers 99% of the same features as a modern office suit.

Are you kidding me, Anon?
>>51491524
but that's proprietary software
>>51491543
Nope, it really is the best
>>51491566
There's no difference when you're getting it for free
>>51491453
If you're going to use Windows, you might as well take advantage of the massive software base.
>>51491543
Libre and other free office suites are a clone of 97/2K anyway both from a UI and functionality perspective.
>>51491671
I'm against "pirating" software but not other media.
>but you use Windows!
It's a legitimate copy of which I own the license.
LibreOffice and LaTeX (which I'm going to learn) are enough for me.

>It's a legitimate copy of which I own the license.
Godspeed, wagekek
>>51491819
I'm a NEET, Anon.
>>51491524

>inb4 botnet, I'll use it to share or send to people on windows anyways
>>51491524
does the graphs and tables looks the same in recent office versions?
I hate libreoffice cause of that, and normies get a excuse to criticize muh linux
>>51491524
Where can I download this from?
>>51491796
Not really gonna question it, but I wouldn't worry too much about abandonware if your issues are ethical. Microsoft doesn't care nor lose money if you download an old copy of office from an archive FTP for example.

Winworld has a ton of variants of 97 up for grabs.
It's still not really bad at all, pretty much all versions of Office have been fundamentally the same since the switch to Windows, newer ones just have better features for things like conditional formatting in Excel, reference tools and the like.
