why is my gpu at 100% while i'm not running anything?
>>51485601
>AMD
in all seriousness, anybody been in my situation and knew what caused it?
Is anything using CPU as well? I can't think of anything that would require 100% of your GPU but not even touch your CPU.
here is my task manager right now
>le bitcoin miner face
>>51485671
>>51485671

Do not be alarmed. You AMD card is working as intended.

>>51485679
unplug your internet & reboot

*sigh* c'mon /g/uys

i really don't want to do a fresh system install
You got a miner, faggot.
You just have a bitcoin miner you idiot. Run some AV/Malwarebytes.
the word 'botnet' is thrown around a lot these days, but what you have is actually a real botnet.
>>51485679
Do this to check >>51485740
If it's idle when internet is disconnected but active when connected then you got a miner.
Check your startup items for suspicious things.
Get Malwarebytes free and do a scan.
confirm for bitcoin miner, turned off internet and gpu went back to 0%
i ran malbytes with the latest update = clean
i ran spybot with latest update = clean
i ran MSE with latest update = clean
what do now?
This is what you get for endorsing illegal pirates
AMD HAS NO DRIVERS
>>51485789
Just do a clean install desu senpai
>>51485789
Check what CCleaner lists as your startup programs and scheduled tasks.
>>51485601
botnet
>>51485789
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc512587.aspx
>>51485789
Try ComboFix and let us know if it works
>>51485789
download COMODO cleaning utilities
run the startup analyser/autorun or whatever it's called
it will display EVERYTHING that boots with your PC
even if the malware uses tricks like hiding itself in task shed n shit
then if you think you found the binary, upload it to virustotal.com and post results here
and remove it (obviously)
>>51485601
Adwcleaner is a possible solution aswell
>>51485877
combofix didn't do shit
>>51485910
>>51485910
didn't know what to look for, half the stuff i don't recognize, ruined system, did a system restore
>>51485991
>>51485991
this actually did the trick, i'm back to idle now
thanks anon!
Today we witnessed a miracle
/g/ was actually helpful
>>51486549
Yeah cause we fucking hate mining malware.
Almost killed my laptop, had a gt 520 and laptop got so hot it shutdown a few times.
Just gave up and installed mint with the gpu disabled. Fucking fermi.
Intel hd 3000 is plenty for regular shit.
>>51486549
/g/ is helpful every single day. We still have some wizards around, but some people don't believe in them and think that /g/ is dead and only good for shitposting.
>>51486642
And yet there were still two Jewtel/Novideo shitposters in this thread.
>>51486796
Meh, they didn't really accomplish anything.
>>51485789
install gentoo

Linux is a perfectly viable solution for some.
See >>51486603
Did you have a driver crash while attempting to overclock?
>>51485789
>>i ran malbytes with the latest update = clean

What makes you think Antivirus software are actually useful?
They are just memes at this point.
Reinstall windows tbqh.
Holy fuck, someone save the thread, /g/ helped someone today.
Please don't uninstall my bitcoin miners
>"It's a bitcoin miner!" meme turned out to be actually true in this case
>/g/ helped someone today

>>51485789
when malware caught my arss, I just switched to win10 but without activating it
it works perfectly fine, but I just got some limitations on my personalization options, wich I easily can bypass with an trick(can post how to do it if someone is interested)
>>51485601
My guess is that you're 13, downloaded something called "hotxxxmovie.avi.exe" or something similar, and now you're mining bitcoins for some fag
>>51487772
more probable is that he installed utorrent
>>51487695
