Hey /g/, I'm remodeling my game room, and I need a big ass tv. Should I get a budget 4K tv, or a good LED tv? I'm not good with technicals, so I'm not sure what specifics I should look for in a TV for gaming or watching sports.
Pic related, I can get this on discount where I work, all said and done I could spent around $300 for it.
On a side not, I can't find any information on this tv, other than this single one star rating with no review.

I went to SAMs today, they had a sale on their 4K Samsung tv I think it was 55 inches for 787 dollars. Seems like a nice deal

If you're not buying Samsung or Sony, it's not going to be top class. Vizio and LG are good enough too, depending on which specific model. 4k is a meme, there wont be enough content to make the premium price of one a 4k TV worth it 10 years.

Don't ever buy budget TVs. Black levels and overall contrast won't be good, and neither will the picture quality. That also goes for budget TVs from name brands. 4K is a waste of money for a few more years still. 4K blurays still aren't out, so what's the point? Yeah there is a little bit of 4K netflix, but that is so bitrate starved that it looks worse than a 1080p bluray.
Look more at a higher end 1080p sony, samsung, or sharp. That will hold you for a few years until OLED is affordable. Make sure you read pro reviews, because people on amazon will complain about useless features rather than talking about picture quality.
