I think tmo throttles to a "2g" speed connection after you hit 5gb meaning your speed will get cut down to 1.6mbps but it has never happened to me since a) my isp provides free hotspots everywhere and b) I don't use my phone too often.
If you can live with 5gb I highly recommend it.
