I don't know why KDE insists on that god awful wallpaper. Their publicity screenshots would look a lot better if hey used some toned down darker colors.
Also, KDE5 is a hell of a lot better than KDE4 and Fischer-Price-Gnome, but they're still the undisputed kings of wasted space and inconsistent alignment/sizing.

KDE is a fat bloatware DE like gnome. But it does offer nicer, more indepth customization opposed to gnome. I wish it wouldn't take my SSD with 550 MB/s read speed 40 seconds to boot a 657mb OS with KDE. :(

I'm running Debian with KDE. No other software, all I use it for is getting on the internet.
Still, my desktop is AwesomeWM with Tint2 Gentoo, has about the same read speed, boots in only 4-6 seconds. It used to be more before I changed my Kernel Compression to LZO.
The first, being a newer laptop has UEFI and the second doesn't. I thought UEFI was supposed to speed things up, fucking microshaft...
