I guess that 206,832 IQ can't help you with reading comprehension over a 4th grade level. How is it even possible for someone to be this socially retarded in regard to communication? Isn't pattern recognition a basic part of intelligence?
IQ tests are problematic. The test should have every category covered and it should take all day. Not everyone is equally fast at pattern recognition but they might have great reflexes, great coordination and motorics and an active brain otherwise. They might be able to memorize things easily or learn some new skill like riding a bike fast or mimic a newly heard sound.
Everyone will never be equal in everything but it would be interesting to test everyone to find out what they are good at without years of training. Training of course will modify your brains so much that you can be excellent in anything if you focus on it for years.
I'm not saying that the current tests are useless, they aren't. It's just that they focus on things that a well programmed machine would do faster anyway.
Real world in programming means creating something helpful. No one really wants to use lisp, except /g/, and to create something helpful you have to use what everyone else is using.
All the plebs use .net or mono? That's what you got to write for, maybe JavaScript for node.js fags or Java is still somewhat popular. Maybe a C library is useful, but that's another common as fuck language. Haskell? Not a chance, the enterprise gen x suit squad has already started spreading blogs about the evils of pure functional. Programming is more a challenge of memorization and routine than creativity.
I say this because someone who is considerably more versed/weathered in a language is probably better able to make something work with ingenuity than someone insanely bright but lacking in the same hard knowledge.
My aunt has been working with c/c++/perl/java (an exception) since about 1988, she is (as admitted to me) "so much slower on the uptake" than me, but myself with about 8 years of time behind a desk constantly ask her questions about this, that or the other.
