Why even use those installers for Windews anyways when ninite (the website) is a thing? That place is jizztastic for putting stuff on Windows machines, it's what the Windows store should have been. Just click and go, you're done with no stupid adware prompts.

i usually use the JDKs from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html
but i just tried the JRE installer from java.com and it really was as simple as running the .exe, clicking the install button, waiting, clicking the close button. no yahoo, no ask toolbar.
They actually think this is OK.

Yes, I know. Google already removed the Netscape Plug-in API (NPAPI) from Chrome and Mozilla will follow suit. It's funny, though. Mozilla created the API when they were Netscape and now they are the ones being forced to nuke it.
