This is a little wiring harness i made for my Pi 2 B+, so i could use it while hooked up to my SVideo input selector. It's just a dirty wiring job where the positive is hooked into both the Chroma and Luma signal wires on the SVideo plug. Works, but i may put a resistor inline to clean up the image a little (giving me a little bit of blockiness in some colors, but nothing that's horrible). I use the CRT for my gaming as it's a nice set. I do have a flatpanel in the livingroom, but that's mostly for entertaining guest.

not blogging, looking for people to discuss and give actual feedback, like >>51441047

i used a single ground wire, that i stripped in areas and soldered to each plug, so i didnt have to have annoying splits and merges. Works fine. anyone else out there do anything down and dirty with their Pi?
pic unrelated but im on my other PC that doesn't have anything for reaction pics

How's the rpi in performance?
I'm thinking of picking one up for my tv.

thanks. It's fun, and RetroPie now has very simple controls for Save States, so i can play games like this and not worry about having to save etc. Working Designs made masterpieces!!!

although it is good, the mileage may vary, depending upon the emulator you use - there are different versions of emulators you can use, with some working better with roms than others. it's struggled a little with sega 32X games like Space Harrier, but works amazingly well with PSX titles. You can do HDMI (and even use filters that simulate interlaced displays) or composite out, but i chose the latter as the games im playing aren't playing at a higher res than 240p, but will upscale amazingly well on an HDMI display. I do recommend a decent card and hooking the pi to a network so you can copy roms and iso files to it via SAMBA (drag and drop, and even separate folders for BIOS files). Cheaper than blowing cash on that horrible Retron 5.

We're here to discuss technology, if you don't like this thread go back to your /gcg/ and shitpost about amd and nvidia.

Friendly tip, cheap step up circuits don't play well in parallel but tp4056 lithium charging circuits are amazing. Can wire up the inputs for higher charging current.
Can have 3 pumping 2.4 amps into one battery (not recommended) or 0.8A per battery.
I built a speaker with 2 18650s (2300mah per cell) and 2 of these, charges up great and battery life is amazing.

Knowing how to do your own shit is an amazing experience, technology isn't just limited to desktops and laptops and computer accessories and parts.

yeah it bugs me how you get idiots on here that dislike your post just because you aren't dick-measuring your Model B (i got one, French Canadian, so very rare haha), or a battle station or distro thread. I like sharing ideas as well as taking in feedback on things. I have a 77-7 volt to 5 v 3 amp usb device i may hook an old wall lump to so i can give the pi some nice power, using a cellphone charger atm. I did find an energizer battery pack that can power it temporarily without issue (used for charging phones, bought it at a local dollar store with 3 energizer l-ion AA cells, so score!). Im thinkiing of throwing one into an old portable B&W tv/radio combo i scored at a thrift store, that also has a/v input.

I'd recommend a small screen you can get off eBay pretty cheap, and a bunch of 18650s stepped up to 5v as a diy ups.
Pretty much a power bank, but significantly cheaper and more powerful.
laptop batteries will typically use 18650s, and they're really handy.

There can be technology in diy too anon.
OPs content is fine for either board in my opinion.
