Other root file managers handle it fine by remounting the filesystem rw, moving the file, and then remounting ro again. It's seamless and works great.

Exactly. I modify my system image on a computer and flash it back every time, and keep backups so I don't break things if I modify it and fuck up for some unknown reason. Maybe I'll see it happen eventually, but right now this application works much better than ES malware.
