So far I've narrowed down my search to these 5 Gpu's, but I'm not knowledgable enough about the specifics to decide on which one's would be the one for me. I'm trying to build a $900-$1100 gaming rig, that can run Fallout 4 and other games smoothly. Please help?
>>
dump some other useless shit in your build and add another $100 for the GPU, trust me.

~$300 is a very nice spot right now

>run Fallout 4 smoothly
hahahhahahaa

even a Titan X gets stutter. The game must have been coded by women.
>>
Just spend $30 more and get the 4 GB version of the 380 you'll be way happier
>>
>>51415776
recommendations? I still wouldn't know what to look for since i'm tech-tarded, and I've only shopped for this and the CPU so far.

>>51415788
Umm, I guess something to play Battlefront decently then? no idea what titan X is, but sounds good

This is what I thought for a week straight too.

It turns out if you go into fallout4prefs.ini and change ipresentinterval to 0 save it and make it read only it makes it runs like a normals game.

I have an 8350 and a r9 380 and I get 60-90 fps outside in all areas with small dips into 40 here and there on Ultra with everything but godrays on.
>>
>>51415823
It's a $1000 GPU with a chip the size of a small rodent and runs at 104C
>>
>>51415823

Something like a Radeon r9 390, or a GTX 970. really whatever you can find the best deal on

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202164&cm_re=390-_-14-202-164-_-Product

That being said, Black Friday is in a week, so you should wait till then to actually buy. Most deals are shit and not any better than any other day, BUT you can find some nice shit if you're patient.
>>
>>51415853
I laughed

>>51415803
Looking at reviews and apparently,, the thing has common problems with it's fan sensors =/
>>
>>51415867
I plan on waiting till Black Friday/Cyber Monday to purchase, but I want to have an idea of what I need to look for and make sure it's all compatible, before I buy, since that's a common mistake noobs do with thier first computers. This one will be mine.
>>
>>51415877
Really which brand?

I've been rocking a Gigabyte 380 for months now on stock settings and the fan is barely audible and runs fine...
>>
>>51415756
None of those are good. GTX 960 4GB is in that price range and is better.

If you were smart though, you would save $100 more and get an R9 390 instead.

That's what popped up when I searched it. I'd also like recommendations on other parts if someone wouldn't mind spending the time to help me.

I bought my computer on black friday a few years back, it took for fucking ever to ship from newegg. Of course that was super frustrating cause you're so hyped about it lol...but it was an incredible deal.

i7 4770k + Asus z-87a mobo for $250, normally the processor alone was 300+, and the mobo like $115.

This was hidden in the back pages of the combo deals, like page 50 or some shit, so you might want to dig deep

but anyways, GPU is your most important part for gaming, so I'd definitely get a 390/970 something in that range

Maxwell. The same rules don't apply. It can drive the full 4GB.

I feel like I'm laughing my ass off to an inside joke I don't get
>>
>>51416009
yea while splitting the bus time into thirds. #GENIUS
>>
>>51416041
There is no joke. This uneducated man thinks that the only thing that matters in VRAM usage is the size of the bus and has zero to do with architecture and how it handles/interacts with the VRAM.

Also, I was thinking perhaps something like this for the CPU?
AMD FD8350FRHKBOX FX-8350 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition Processor

>>51416004
>>51416041
>>51416049
Stop being idiots. It has to do with Maxwell color compression. He's right. A 128-bit bus has little to no issues utilizing 4GB of memory as long as it's a Maxwell chip. If it were Kepler, or any of AMD's chips it would definitely have issues, but it's not.
>>
None
GPU is for gaymers
In that case get out >>>/v/
>>
>>51416009
Kek

ROT is DCC gives a 30% boost, even less so when frames are rapidly changing.

It won't use 4gb
>>
>>51416091
>muh magic Maxwell chips
GCN 1.2 has DCC too
>>
>>51416219
>>51416198
>>51416091
So stay away from Maxwell right?
