Unfortunately all of them look glossy like that after the Australis update. Not even Classic Theme Restorer fixes it.

Is that a shell extension to get the top bar hidden behind gnome's bar?
>>
>>51408059
No, it's a browser extension. See >>51408054.
>>
Is it GNU public liscense? And did they actually get rid of the patented bits?

lmao fuck off stallman

But to answer your question, it's under the MIT Licence

GNOME looks pretty sweet. Though I'm more of a Unity man myself.

Hi anon, thank you for your interest in vivaldi, check the screenshot for more information!

just another editor written in javascript, I doubt this will be much competition against Atom, Brackets, etc

It's comfy.

And slow.

I mean don't get me wrong, it looks fantastic. It's just slow. Why can my PC do GTA V but not Gnome 3?
>>
>>51408657
fucking this
>>
>>51408657
>>51408669
What hardware are you using anon? I haven't noticed any slowness and gaming (csgo) is buttery smooth at 60 fps. Did you install the right drivers?
>>
>>51408686
I often use them open source drivers

I use a Phenom II x4 955, a 6850HD and 6gb of RAM. Now that you mention it, KDE is even slower though and that drives me nuts. I tried proprietary drivers but somehow I get worse performance on everything (but less issues when gaming for some reason)
>>
>>51408657
Works buttery smooth for me, definitely better than my work laptop with win7.
>>
>>51408727
Gnome runs on my intel HD, I've also got a nvidia gt850m in my laptop. Not sure if AMD is at fault here, but you know what they say about AMD and linux unfortunately. I use the proprietary drivers due to the fact that bumblebee currently doesn't work with nouveau. But yeah, sounds like you're missing some hardware acceleration in your driver. Have you checked the arch wiki for any information on how to enable it for your hardware? (if possible)
>>
>>51408836
Yeah, it's enabled though. Unity weirdly enough works pretty fast. Basic gaming (essentially Valve games) work pretty ok as well. I guess maybe I will try if I upgrade my PC soon.

anyone actually uses vs code? i remember it was just an atom reskin, to the point if you look at the processes it actually shows as atom.exe or something like that
>>
kde is better

>>51408975
>actually use vs code
No. I use Atom and Vim.

That's really strange. Unity is usually the slowest out of all the DEs, or at least that was the case back during the 12.04 days. Really sucks too, because it was (and still is in my opinion) better than modern Gnome and KDE.

>>51407509
Fuck Vertical Space: The Desktop Environment
>>
>>51410886
I kinda wish I could have unity with opened applications at the bottom, or just use a dock. The sidebar thing is a little bit weird for me.

They took atom, made it look different, then re-released it. Big deal.
