So pretty accurate

very, very accurate

yeah, computer stuff was pretty solid, for now i can think of only single small problem and it was connecting rpi either without power source or connecting rpi to power source guy couldn't know anything about. like "aw fuck it, i bet every keypad runs on 5v, i'll just connect it to its power cables". I don't exactly remember if he haven't connected power at all or just connected it randomly. if problems with theory are this little, it's safe to say that show is accurate.

Are you for real? That was on of the most cringe shows I've ever seen, everything half-decent is flushed down the toilet after first couple episodes and all that's left is angsty fashion boy who cries all the time while piano is playing in the background, I thought that show was made for girls but then some of girls who I know dropped it. I finished it for some reason. One of the most embarrassing pieces of tv I ever saw honestly.

It takes a few liberties for the sake of pacing/drama but whatever. It's probably the least offensive example of its kind, and honestly a pretty good show.

More than anything, I was impressed by the use of actual product names, logos, and people than anything else. Most shows would have made up a fake Google and fake OSes and stand-ins for political leaders etc. but this show is just like, fuck it, let's make it feel almost immersive for once

I watched episodes 1-3

It's alright, utopia was a better conspiracy thriller. The plot is a little predictable (up to where I am, it seems a little to similar to reddit club). Also he's a little insufferable for my liking though, mc's with superiority complexes always get on my nerves, even if it is intentional.

I feel like this was definitely intentional, either to just mess with us, or because it's meant to take place in a slightly different universe, eg pay attention to all the URLs / domain names etc.
>>
>>51324329
If it is intentional, I feel like it's because they don't want to use a real IP address that people will start harrassing.

Same way they use 555 phone numbers in movies, that doesn't actually exist.

An "IP address" with one octet larger than 255 makes sure it doesn't interfere with any real-world address. Kinda like the 555-something phone numbers (no actual phone numbers start with 555).

Basically, this. There's an episode that showed a connection to an IRC channel...

Of course, because the show is watched by complete spergs, several hundred people had connected to the IRC network and channel shown in the show within hours of the episode airing.

...and you wonder why they don't want to show valid IP addresses prominently?

Still, it could have "faked" better. APIPA addresses would have sufficed, or anything on 127.x.x.x, really.
