Should I upgrade to El Capitan or am I better off without it?
>>51311592
You should. It's basically a fixed Yosemite.
I just updated last night. Honestly can't even tell a difference
>>51311616
I'm just concerned of any possible performance decrease, seeing as my model is 3 years old

wiggle your cursor back and forth. watch what happens.
this alone makes the upgrade worth it imo
>>51311592
Animations are a bit smoother in El Capitan than in Yosemite.

I read that they would be affected because of Metal, but it shouldn't affect my model in theory.
What year is your Mac from?
>>51311743
nvm, was wrong.
Guess I'll update then.
Thanks

Must suck not having the money to have nice things :^)

How do you cope with it?
>>51312010
Gee, you sure have an answer for everything don't you mister?
It's an improvement but scaled resolutions still run like shit, especially when entering or exiting full screen.

My mbp is 5 years old. Yosemite was a dog. El Capitan is much better. But still a ways away from the heady days of Snow Leopard. :(
>>51312116
Why are you still eating shit from your hands?
>>51312819
I'm interested in knowing this as well.
