Why do you keep making this shit thread?
Only reason to buy a CRT TV is if you have an old Nintendo and you want to play Duck Hunt.

even then that tv wouldnt work I think the curvature of the screen also plays a part , dont quote me on this though

A HD CRT looks GOAT with the 1080i broadcasts available in most countries. CRT screens are more forgiving of mpeg2 artefacts and don't require a filter for deinterlacing.
I'd buy one for 100$ usd.

i thought it was a color thing.
the curvature is only important with later lightgun from the 90's like the snes and genesis's one

I love watching baseball on ESPN with the Sony HD CRTs. The picture actually has depth (look at the grass background and the player on the foreground!).
The quality and picture depth of these CRTs were only matched by limited-release Pioneer Kuro Signature Series (101FD / 141DS) plasmas. OLEDs look promising but it need 3-4 years before it can finally surpass CRTs and plasmas.

If OP's CRT >>51305207 actually has low hours 100 bux for the set and another 400 bux for ISF-certified calibration is definitely worth it.

Listen to these good fellows, you should rather buy a generic walmart LCD for only twice the price (also your neighbors will really appreciate the 2x4 watt paper speakers that send out harsh sound)
