Is 770 better than a 960 even with the rumored gimping?

There is no gimping, Maxwell cards just have hardware dedicated to some features used by modern games so they pull ahead in occasions.
the 780ti was ahead of the 290x by around 20-30% before the 9xx series came out. now the 290x is ahead of it by that much, on average
if you buy nvidia, you get drivers optimized for the games on release date but your card will become obsolete a lot faster. you also can't selectively disable goyworks features that cause problems

You don't need that to get 1080p60fps on nep. I did so with HD 7970 with ease. Was hitting 80fps, as high as my monitor could do.

I just want to try other games rather than Jap games which I play over the past year with my GT630 when my former card die. Playing with Nep with 30 on world map, 60 on fights.
Since Pascal doesnt have a release date yet, maybe I can get a quick fix before Pascal release with a lowered price. Cause I dont know how much it cost considered the huge leap as hyped.

iffy has a new super form in the new crossover game where she's the main character, so it's not like there would be a lot of difference between amd/nvidia and the traditional cpus. i guess they wouldn't have a nation? it would probably make more sense for them to be sharing a nation anyway, along with a steam cpu or something
