Well, that laptop in the picture is a non-unibody Macbook Pro or Powerbook G4, and I've fixed the likes of them before, even rebuilt them from the parts of dead ones. If the account actually had anything sensitive, I'd just say something came up and I need to come back to the store later. I'd then just not return, having fixed/replaced what had gone awry at my workbench.
