That's probably to keep out rainwater, something like that happened at a pals gas station and it broke the scanner.
Or maybe someone tried to tear that one out, I have no idea.
Just noticed it while filling up on my way to class.

Has a lock and key on it, not sure how one would even go about pulling that off.

Crowbar, jam and wedge.
Amateur mistake. It would of worked in the 80's, but modern ATMs are too hard to physically brute.
>>51300821
to bad its a gas pump
>>51300821
Sorry, not ATMs, meant to say pumpers.
>>51300821
But what would they even hope to find in a gas pump? Unless maybe they could use the card scanner for fraud purpose.
>>51300852
Tons of older pumps still take cash. They could be retarded.
Or they could try to get unlimited gas, as the servo for the cutoff is fairly easy to jam open if you can get in the machine.
what the fuck
>>51300821
As illustrated on breaking bad kek

201$ billion dollar company, what could you expect?

the card reader is to the right of the keypad
>>51300887

they just stick a skimmer on top
so it reads to both card readers
do any of the other pumps have that?
no? hahaha get the fuck away from it
theres been like 5000 scanners found in florida this year at gas pumps, and thats not a sarcastic number
>>51301200
