Won't most of the top 10 security flaws always be caused by the most popular software, by definition? If Flash were exactly the same but no one used it, its flaws wouldn't be in the top 10.

Don't use it then? Just uninstall the plugin, nothing of value will be lost. If any website legitimately needs it, just open it on Chrome which uses their own sandboxed flash player.

Thanks. But I just browse the internet from VMWare player. Works just fine. Even better actually cause I can create light clones from the base system and have clean slate browser when needed, have separate VM for the non-work related browsing etc

I can't let go of it, because it introduced me into the world of programming with it's actionscript 1.0 when I was a kid.

Facebook has proper html5 vidoes, you just have to completely /uninstall flash. Some moronic websites only offer html5 if they detect you don't have flash installed. And doesn't matter if you just blocked it in some way.
Html5 works just fine on Facebook even with Firefox.
