Can someone tell me the deference between 1.4 GB, 5.6 GB, 17 GB, 23 GB, 40 GB in a screenshot comparison
always pick the one with the most seeders that isn't yifi. if you're not satisfied, download it in higher quality. chances are you won't see the difference

8-12 gb is the sweet spot i've found
>>51293311
i don't have any screens, but here's a basic explanation:
40GB: bluray copy, lots of individual files.
23GB: bluray copy but converted to a single movie file with the bullshit removed.
17GB: x264 encoded (not original bluray quality - it's compressed further). different 3D formats. google h-sbs and h-ou.
5.6GB: x264 encoded without 3D. this is probably what you'll want to download.
1.4GB: more compression, looks worse.

Seconding this.
I use YIFY just for quick downloads when I need to sell Pirated CD's so I rip them instead kek.
Else, 10gb masterrace.

>inside out
just kill yourself pleb
YIFY actually perfect, don't listen to /g/
>start download
>go make a tea cup
>comeback, finished and start watching
now
>start download
>go to sleep
> wake up, still 40%
FUCK
>>51293572
you forgot the part where you're watching and it looks worse than VHS
>>51293572
>slow internet

Kek.
I only offer the most VHSed of pirated disks and movies, lel.

I see, thanks

Thanks for the explanation
So between blueray vs x264 (23GB vs 17GB one ) is the difference much?
>>51293482
I have to download something to watch with my family.
>>51293611
> not much seeders
More accurate.
The only time YIFY quality was ever acceptable was when you get lost in some uncharted Pacific island and only have a faint 1 bar 2g signal broadcasted from 50 miles away
5-6 gigabytes for 720p; 11 for 1080p
>>51293662
Terrible quality
>>51293600
A:10, V:10
>>51293311
>>51293707
The human eye can't detect bit rates beyond ~ 5 MBit/s anyway.
I remember watching 150MB DivX avis of movies that I downloaded from kazaa so this elitism over how YIFY is bad is really amusing to me.
I still lament the cosy 2-3GB releases that would be a nice sweet spot between YIFY and overkill.
Man I remember when I downloaded Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. 16gb of good picture quality and the most pathetic attempt at making an action movie.

>So between blueray vs x264 (23GB vs 17GB one ) is the difference much?
well the 17GB ones are both 3D, so they won't work without 3D support.
if you don't have/want 3D, get either the 23GB (best quality) or the 5.6GB (good quality).

the private tracker x264.me has good quality 576p releases at 2-3 GB

Story of my life.

You can if you haven't been exposed to too much velocidensity.
>>51294087
The human eye can't detect rotational velocitidensity over 50/pcs/sqft
>>51294184
Are you literally retarded?
It's common knowledge that the detectable rotatinoal velocidensity doesn't begin to naturally degrade to the 50/pcs/sqft level until you're at least 40 years old.
I'd say most of /g/ is 18-25, which means their eyes should be able to handle at least 85/pcs/sqft.
