You can just use it as is, but customize it if you like. The most popular keyboard apps (besides Google's) are Fleksy and Swiftkey. Both are free and have very good autocorrect. There are a lot of music player apps. Play Music may be preinstalled and works well with both local music files and files stored in Google's free online storage. If you want to spruce up your phone, look into Live Wallpapers and different launchers (Nova is the most popular). With a new launcher, you can also install icon packs to theme your app icons.

Wow it's excellent, thanks a lot for that, got lyrics showing. With poweramp I had to press on the right top options and then press on lyrics, and even then, it just shows in a tab, this is better and easier. I also like the minimalistic interface. Might make this my main player.

You can also get their tag editor which integrates.
I like Rocket Player for local stored music. MX player for movies.
Most of my media isn't stored on my phone though. I use my PC as a DLNA server and stream to my phone using BubbleUPnP.
Last couple games I've played are Monument Valley and Prune. Both excellent.

I just found it missed one thing; a play count function. I searched for something else and found PlayerPro. It shows embedded lyrics and has a playcount function. It's almost perfect.
