My computer crashed but my hard drive is okay.
If I put my hard drive in a new computer 1:1 will it still boot or get fucked up because driver/hardware mismatch? I dont want to spend 6 hours reinstalling windows and all my programs

The hard drive will probably be ok, but you will have to re-register the hardware with Microsoft.

You may have to change the SATA controller mode from AHCI to IDE, depending on what it was set to on your last machine. This is set from the BIOS. But it should be fine.

No problem your Linux system will still boot.
