What the fuck just happened?
I looked at my icons, and they all had a 'tick' on them (pic related). I don't have any file sync software/dropbox bullshit.
A minute or two later, they had a 'shared' icon on them
And a few minutes later they're back to normal.
Am I part of the botnet?

Literally happened a minute or two later

Do you use Norton

Retards will say "m-muh games" and "m-muh adumbo"
if you want to play games, get a fucking console.

Not really. I run a media server on this PC, using a NAS with all my HDDs on a NTFS file system, I'm really wanting to change to Debian on this PC though.
>>51274375
It may be because I have Git, but it's not running, and the only repositories I have aren't on the desktop.

I have never encountered a worse filesystem in my life. Even Ext2 is better.
>>51274424
There's also the Adobe suite that's a big demotivator for not using Linux.
>b-but muh GIMP
>>51274291
Same thing happens to me multiple times a day. And it only ever happens while I'm using chrome. I think it's the war of the botnets.
>>51274450
ntfs isn't so bad
can you even do extended ACLs or transparent encryption and compression on ext file systems yet?
>>51274457
Yeah, for the 2% of users who need it.

It's certainly better than FAT32 though, Clustered runs are much better than fucking allocation tables. Extents are better with ext4 though. NTFS is really the only half decent file system supported for Windows, even after their supposed creation of a new file system during Vista.
I'll be changing the file systems of my HDDs one day but don't know what I should do with all the data I already have on them.
