Should I upgrade from a R9 390 and 1080p monitor to a 980 Ti and 1440/Ultrawide monitor?

retard, a 390 can run 1440p games just fine, and you can get another 390.
Want a 980ti? send me your 390
1440p is a meme resolution.
Get an actual 4k display and if your GPU can't handle 4k at Ultra you can always scale it back to 1080p and it won't look like shit unlike 1440p which scales horrible to 1080p.

Why is it a meme? looks great and who cares about i t scaling to 1080p?
>>51272209
Why would it scale horrible to 1080p? 1920/1080 = 1.77777777
2560//1440=1.7777777777
As long as your monitor has all of the following
>1440p or greater
>75Hz or greater
>99% sRGB coverage or greater
>27" or greater
>Supports freesync/gsync
Then you're in good shape. Otherwise, it's just another shit monitor. It's especially not worth upgrading to a 980Ti if you don't have a monitor with a higher than 60Hz refresh rate and gsync. Chances are it'll go well above 60fps for most games and you'll be wasting all that potential.

fuck off retard

each pixel in 2560x1440 downsamples to
(2560*1440)/(1280*720) = 4 pixels
easy to draw a 2x2 square to make 4 pixels
(2560*1440)/(1920*1080) = 1.777 pixels
how do you draw a 1.333x1.333 square anon?

What if I just a 144hz 1080p monitor? I currently have a r9 290 and have been thinking about upgrading to the 980 ti hybrid.
