Uni textbooks often have supplemental materials on disc. And you don't always want to install a program to do something you only need intermittently and sometimew RO media can be a plus (TAILS for instance).

I've had two of these, both had problems with ghosting, one's also got a weird green tint to the screen. And 1366*768 is a shitty resolution and ratio.
