There are plenty other options that are better. And they're not fagbooks either.
Good luck finding a laptop like that (good keyboard, non-16:9 screen) with passable specs.
Consumers want thin, shiny, and buzzwords. Businesses want to cut costs ($10 passed on to the consumer for a better, larger panel and more plastic adds up). 16:9 and shit quality fit everyone's bill. The free market in action.

Nw9440 and related win7 evolution are the best business laptop ever made

it's the same with pretty much any brand though, consumer tier is crapware, just look at the business range.
