What is happening to my pc?

Here is an example of one of these "graphical errors"

No, its a nvidea 750.

Got it to boot at least lmao
>>
Did you try plugging in another monitor? The monitor might be broken.
PCI-e port maybe fucked?
>>
>>51259894
What he's asking is if your motherboard has integrated graphics.
If you can, take out the GPU and use your onboard video and see if that works for troubleshooting.

In addition if you have one handy see if you get the same issue on a Linux live install.
>>
gpu is fucked
>>
>>51259896
Monitor works. I use it for 2 different pcs and they both work with it.

>>51259879
Starting to seem that way. I have a one year warranty but I'd rather not wait several weeks for a new one because fallout 4
>>
>>51259915
You said two different cards produced same results? Maybe the PCI-e port is broken?
>>
>>51259904
Oh okay I'll give it a shot will update. Also ubunto just ask fucked. Live boot CD on hand experiences same issue.

>>51259913
No gpu works with two other systems.
>>
>>51259894
You need to buy a 980ti.
>>
As a professional I can tell you that something is definitely fucked
>>
>>51259924
Two cards same issue. Ones nvidea one is amd. Testing onboard video now.

If only I wasn't a poorfag or I'd be at best buy right now buying a new mobo/cpu/ram just to ignore this problem and play fallout. Also yeah I would buy that too.

>>51260009
Yeah I don't think it's gpu or pci slot problems.
Still onboard gfx right here.
>>
>>51260063
Well, based on this it's either:
1) Your monitor
2) Cable between monitor and PC
3) Motherboard
4) CPU
5) RAM

Have you tried a different monitor or a different PC on that monitor, with the same cable ?

>>51260120
Yes up until last week I was using an entirely different system while waiting for my parts to arrive. Earlier today I hooked the old system back up to the monitor and it worked as good as ever. It's something with my mobo/cpu/ram. If it matters to you I have also tried additional ram but that too has no affect on the problem.
>>
Your RAM might be going bad desu, you should test it.
>>
>>51260120
I've just never run into anything like this and its driving me crazy. Everything points to gpu issues but the gpu is fine. It's maddening.
>>
>>51260152
>I have also tried additional ram but that too has no affect on the problem.
Great, then you've isolated the issue to two possible culprits, it's either your CPU or motherboard. CPU is probably the most likely culprit here, feeding fucked data to whatever graphics card it has to bully into doing stuff.

Any chance you can try a different CPU ?
Have you checked for bent pins ?
>>
>>51260155
I tried an alternative stick yesterday and it produced same result. Also tried multiple slots for said ram.
>>
>>51260179
>Everything points to gpu issues but the gpu is fine. It's maddening.
It's the RAM. Replace it.
>>
>>51260185
I have no other cpu that will fit this mobo so unfortunately I cannot isolate any further. I was living in the dark ages with an am2 socket mobo/cpu until this one.
>>
>>51260190
Yeah it wouldn't make sense for that to be it anyway, maybe try booting a Linux livecd and see if it also has problems? It's probably software if other GPUs work and then that one works on other PCs.
>>
>>51260219
Then at least check the socket for bent pins if you haven't already.
>>
>>51260185
Should I just bite the bullet, send it all back, and play fallout 4 when possible? BTW even typing that out is heartbreaking.
>>
>>51260225
Tried my spare ubunto live boot disc just moments ago. Same result. Strange graphical display errors.
>>
>>51260258
Yeah shit just saw that someone already suggested it, nvm. Must be either the mobo or cpu then like >>51260185 says.
>>
>>51260236
I did this as well, and though I'm not too keen with this area I didn't see any damage to pins. They looked straight as ever. I'm sorry to keep smashing down the help you're giving me. I Truely do appreciate this.
>>
>>51260258
Dude, it's the ram.
Take out all sticks, and try one by one in different slots until they work.
>>
You may have broken your PCI-E slot (port for your gpu and wplan or etc) on your mo-bo is my best culprit to your problem, that would seem like the only problem but just in case check other internal connects like SATA and pins are in place
>>
>>51260248
Since you've already verified that everything else works, there's no point in sending anything other than CPU and motherboard back unless you have to send all of it back just to get one of those two replaced.

You might still wanna check for those bent pins, though.
>>
>>51260300
Broken PCIE slots tend to show themselves pretty quickly though. Or do modern GPUs not beep when there is a problem with the interconnect?
>>
>>51260296
That sounds like a great plan, don't do it
>>
>>51260296
See entire thread, I have tried one other stick of ram in a different slot. No cigar.

>>51260292
On board graphics just as problematic leading me to believe the pci slot is fine.
>>
format and clean install.
>>
>>51260350
I think I forgot to mention that I did this as well using a spare hd. Again same result.
>>
>>51260329
>See entire thread, I have tried one other stick of ram in a different slot. No cigar.
Did you tried it alone?
Both times you refer to the ram, you sound like you just put an additional stick. I'm telling you to remove all of them and try one by one.
Just do it nigger.
>>
>>51259780
Memtest86+. Everyone should have a UBCD USB to diagnose their shit. Make one.
>>
>>51260359
pci lanes fucked? i don't how it would happen though, you say integrated shows same result
I think it's motherboard, everything else would just not post.
>>
>>51260386
oh and ram obviously,>>51260385 do this
>>
>>51260363
That's my mistake I apologize. I definitely tried a separate ram stick in a different slot, without the new(current) ram. It did not work,or rather it didn't help. I would test again and show you but its my roommates ram and he is out and about.
>>
>>51259791
Are you fucking retarded, a printscreen will show nothing
>>
>>51260385
use memetest86+ instead imo
>>
>>51260403
I think your monitor just doesn't like your choice of hardware :/ from this thread I can't find any problem with your set up
>>
>>51260426
I think pc god just hates me. I bought the set up for fallout 4 and then 1 day before launch this happens. At this point I wouldn't mind just being able to peruse my desktop lol
>>
Why are you using an inferior technology like LCD?

Why aren't you using superior CRT or contributing to the development of superior LED (not OLED) or Quantum Dot?
>>
>>51260457
Because I work for low pay and have more bills then money. This is fine and was within my budget.
>>
>>51260034

>implying best buy actually sells motherboards
>probably only two sticks of overpriced ram
>probably nothing faster than a 960 or a 270x

fuck best buy
>>
>>51260403
I'm fairly sure it is a RAM issue.
Like >>51260386 said, every other kind of issue would never pass the POST.
Now the other one you tried had a different clock speed, or it was the same than the one your using now?
>>
>>51260476
I agree with you but like I said my other option is send it back on warranty and wait. If I had the means to I would just go buy one from a store. Could be best buy, could be local pc store, either way it was just a metaphor and a pipe dream.
>>
>>51260488
I am not the smartest pc user and don't know a lot in the way of clock speed (please don't shoot me) but the ram I have is 8gb and the alternate stick I tried was a 4gb. If that's even what you're asking me.
>>
>>51260509
What is your mobo?
And what ram are you using?

>>
>>51260631
Nigga you using ECC ram?
Or is that just value ram?
>>
>>51260546
>ASRock
>AMD
They're both very likely to be shit. CPUs don't really tend to go bad that quickly unless it overheats, so my guess is the mobo.
>>
>>51260631
You're camera is trash.
And you're experiencing RAM COMPATIBILITY ISSUES.
Tell the people who sold you that combo to fuck off and give you RAM TAHT FUCKING WORKS FOR THE MOTHER FUCKER BOARD YOU BOUGHT.

>>51260638
not him, but

I think it's just value RAM, anon

Value ram. Like I said earlier it was part of a package with my mobo/cpu.
>>

Sorry, not used to seeing un"riced" ram on /g/

Probably your ram honestly, have any extra sticks to try?
>>
>>51260658
It's the tablet I'm using to talk to you guys. I don't see why that matters but yeah its pretty shit. I tried gaming ram with it as well with the same result. (It was my roommates)
>>
>>51260680
>implying there is anything at all wrong with value RAM
>>
People seem to think it's ram incompatibility. Try running memtest86 and see if it picks up something.
>>
>>51260680
I used my roommates 4 gig corsair(I think) stick with it earlier with the same result. I know it ain't pretty but its all I could afford lol.

just factory reset your mobo senpai see if it works.
>>
>>51260711
Looks like a shitty mobo.
>>
>>51260795
You mean in the bios right? Already tried lol.
>>
>>51260828
No, pin the factory reset in the mobo. There should be a jumper that reset the CMOS. Look at the manual for where it is, and which pins to jump.
>>
>>51259780
I read the thread; it's your mobo. If it was the gpu, integrated should've worked. Since it doesn't it could be the cpu, but if you're sure (triple quadruple check the chip itself for bent pins, again) the cpu is fine, it's the mobo. It's unlikely it's the cpu anyway because it's a miracle it posts if that's what's wrong. It's not the ram. RMA your mobo dude, the pcie lanes work fine it's just fucking up the video output.

Try vga, dvi, and another HDMI cable and tell me what happens. It's not your ram btw, if it was I don't think it would post, even less give video output to your monitor
>>
>>51260809
this
>>
>>51260919
I just checked again and from what I can see nothing is bent or out of place. I'm filling out the RMA now. Thank you for your help. I was hoping there was some magic trick to get it to work because of fallout 4. Looks like I'll be sitting the launch out. Thanks again!
>>
>>51259780
There's a problem with your Northgate
Probably bad transistors or something
>>
>>51261044
np, good luck with the stuffs. though I'm not the anon that posted like 10 messages
>>
Thank everyone for your help! Unfortunately this issue can't be resolved without replacement. I appreciate any and all of your answers/help. Thanks again!
>>
>>51261044
Asrock is known for being shitty i know atleast 4 different people whit fucked up mobos and all of them were Asrock
>>
Hey, as a last resort to see if it's the cpu or the mobo try underclocking the cpu while raising the vcore just a tad, disabling cool n quiet and loadline calibration or hell even the northbridge. Sucks to be forced to rma both. Also do the memetestx86+.
