Why is there not one actual good IRC client that has a lot intuitive functionality and doesn't look like shit with a GUI made by some 15 year old freetard? I tried everything from HexChat to mIRC to Chatzilla and even IRC Explorer (the IRC client on the Windows store, which is pretty nice, but it lacks the ability of a blinking tray icon).
When will there actually be a worthy IRC client?
Well say a bad thing about HexChat.

nobody wants to talk to you. why bother
>>51248372
It looks ugly
>>51248389
Don't bully, anon.
>>51248372
I'd just like to know if it's possible to have the windows for xdcc transfers appear as an entry like the channels have instead of a popping up a new window.
I think this is what happens in mIRC or some other client I used
Twitch chat ;-)
>wanting normies to use irc
no thx
>>51248435
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Just fucking use HexChat.
Or Pidgin I guess.
Or Seamonkey.
>>51248360
Just use x-chat.
Hexchat is ugly and bloated. Or:

>>51248360
It is text based chat, how attractive can it be?
I like the way most clients look, if a normie looks over my shoulder they'll think I am talking to Snowden.
>>51248360
:)
Conversation, its similar to xChat but unlike xChat is not meant for multiple networks handling a lot of channels in a single network, so it will have things like highlighted tabs (blinking trays) for channel activity

>Conversation
damn phone, I mean Konversation
Just install gentoo and use a curse client like weechat or irssi.
Try ERC.

OS X actually has great IRC clients, especially Textual. Only wish I could compile it and not have to pay for a license like the good old days. Seems like I'd have to muck around in the source code to remove the license bullshit.
>>51248967
I find it sad you don't feel inclined to pay the five bucks they ask for their work, especially when they put the source code up on GitHub, which is extremely rare.
Come on, dude. You can spare five bucks.

>Karen
>not Alice
I'm not taking advice from someone with such shit taste.
>>51249017
I'm just averse to paying for things on OS X because I'm not sure if I'm going to keep using it (Hackintosh). Also it sounds like they are going to release Textual 6 soon and make everyone pay for the license again.
>>51249028
hey now I didn't say anything bad about Alice, I just like Karen. They are both good waifus.
>>51248360
ii has the best interface
>>51248575
>IRC client
>ugly
It is literally just 4 boxes. One for text output, one for channel list, one for user list, and one for text input.
What the fuck can be ugly?
>>51249017
Coloque is a free Mac irc client
