Any amount since I'm not a turbo neckbeard who plays his chinese girl cartoons in the middle of the night in his parents' basement.

My next monitor will be a VA panel for this reason
>>
TN panels aren't very good.
I have an IPS panel with no bleed.
It was very expensive though.
>>
last tv i bought had a lot less than that and i gave it away, it's really fucking annoying
>>
>>51242607
are you fucking stupid? IPS does have some advantages over TN, but less backlight bleeding is not one of them. In fact it's probably way more noticeable on an IPS panel.

shrug. i have no backlight bleeding. if that's orthogonal to panel type i apologize.

My monitor's backlight bleed really annoyed me for a while. It completely ruins any dark scenes. My Samsung TV, on the bottom left, has a pretty perfect backlight, though. I love this thing. I don't even use the shitty monitor for anything anymore. (I have to put something on the screen or the backlight turns off or is too dim to tell).
>>
As little as possible. That's why I'm using a PLS A-TW panel EIZO CG.
>>
Is there any way to reduce / fix it?

I have a Dell Ultrasharp and it's pretty bad in the bottom corners
>>
I don't care about it, a screen is a screen.
>>

I could deal with a little, probably, but my current displays (TN laptop and PS desktop) have none as far as I can see.
>>
>>51244083
>PS desktop
IPS, rather.
>>
>>51242561
You have no clue what literally means, just like every other 13 year-old girl.

4chan.

I don't think so.
>>

Same, but with NEC PA272W. I tried to take a photo of the display to test for backlight bleed, but all I got was just pure black.
>>
>>51242587
just because VA has higher contrasts, doesn't mean that there won't be blacklight bleed. get an OLED LOL
>>
>>51242587
I had a VA panel. I'm not sure if IPS glow is worse than contrast shift or not. It's pretty bad.
