Not a computer expert, I'm wondering if this is worth buying because its in my price range. Would it be able to run Fallout 4?

Woops forgot to write............$300 is asking price
Fuck no. Don't pay more than $150 for that pile of junk, and don't expect it to run anything more intensive than Farmville.
>>51240818
>>51240828
It'll run Fallout 4.
At 900p maybe.
>>51240854
haha 900? sad
>>51240818
On a gaming rig, any RAM over 8gb is just expensive overkill. If you're using it as a dev station that's different.
>>51241093
this, the seller is trying to make it sound like some badass PC based on the ram baka desu senpai
>>51241093
what about the other components in this computer? Is it not worth $300? it comes with a mid tier mouse and keyboard logitech that would be the only reason id pay 300

mucho baka i am i know

I'm not really an expert on AMD cards or CPU's, I mostly use Intel and Nvidia. However, I might change the HDD arrangement. On my computer, I use 3 HDD's. My C drive, 320gb, has Windows 7 and all my applications. My D drive, 500gb, has all my games, lastly, my E drive, 320gb, has all my media (photos, movies, music, etc.).
I did a little more research, $300 would be a steal for all of that. I'd take it.
My pc for fallout. Lenovo think center with saphire 7990 shoved into a milk crate

Hey it will stay cool.
>>51240818
it's a real good pc for 300$
it's 'worth' 300 bucks, sure. i mean it's a fully functioning halfway modern computer.
but the 250x is really anemic. you're gonna be replacing that with something more powerful.
the psu is gonna be pushing itself running a faster card but it'll get by.
if you don't have a computer and can factor in selling the 250x and buying something used that's faster, go for it.
>>51241373
250x is okay but really low end but it will run fallout 4.
I'm sure anon will have more money at some point to buy a better gpu
>>51241317
That doesn't look like a 7990.
>>51241513
i'm sure it'll run it. if i was OP and gonna use that setup i'd just break out an old monitor and play in 1600x900 or 720p, something reasonable ya know, but keep the graphics options as close to 'high' as possible.
>look up card specs, it's a 7770 basically
>128 bit bus 1GB
brutal
>>51240818
don't get me wrong, for 300 it's a good get but don't expect to play fallout 4 on it, it might run it @ 720p low 30fps but no guarantes
>>51240818
That actually sounds an awful lot like my machine. It's an alright build, especially for $300, but don't expect to be cranking the settings on Fallout 4 with it. It'll probably still run it playably though
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
8 GB RAM
30 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent
Why does Bethesda think a 7870 is at all comparable to a 550 ti?
Anyway I'd say yes OP depending on whats acceptable. Probably medium 30fps or something.
>>51240818
WINDOWS 8.1
30-50$
1TB HARD DRIVE
52$
16GB RAM
77$
AMD RADEON 250x GPU
79$
AMD A10 7700k
119.99
100$ amazon used
RGB LED LIGHTS
who fucking cares
3 CORSAIR RED LED FANS
23.99 each
motherboard and psu probably cost some money too. overall for 300$ its not horrible.
the gpu is about half of whats required on amds end to play the game at minimum though. the game apparently has a 2gb requirement to run,
also, its apparently highly unoptimized if what the pc streamer said was true.
>>51241712
gameworks nigga, i dont know if the cloth sim they run fucking everything through can be turned off.
>>51243338
also i just looked this up,
GTX 260, 275, 280, 460 192-bit, 460 SE, 550 Ti, 560 SE, GT 650, GT 740 GDDR5
HD 4870, 5770, 4890, 5830, 6770, 6790, 7750 (GDDR5), R7 250 (GDDR5), R7 250E
those are the gpus in the same performance tier on nvidia and amds side for their minimum performance requirement, the 250X is definitely higher, but im going to assume the game skews to nvidia in how well it preforms...
also, keep in mind the streamer had a 980 in sli, even single gpu the game was a stuttering mess, sli even without profiles helped a bit, but he could barely keep it above 30fps in areas.
im calling the game an absolute clusterfuck of unoptimized shit, and bethesda will never get someone competent enough to fix it. but i would fucking LOVE to be proven wrong... nothing would make me happier...
>>51241179
Who gives a shit about your hard drives
OP this will run fallout 4 at max settings 1080p dont worry, maybe it will struggle at 4K
>>51243462
6 core intel and 980 struggle with it at 1080p much less this.
