I recently bought a cheap pair of Headrush IEM headphones, but exchanged them because the left was noticeably quieter than the right. The replacement pair was better, but the right earpiece makes this sound that is a mix between a popping and a crackling when the tip is compressed, meaning when it is inserted. When even adjusted slightly or improperly sealed, the sound becomes extremely muffled.

Is there anyway I can fix this or should I ask for my money back?

It's important to note that the left is still quieter than the right, just less so.

if both headphones seem to have issues... have you considered that it could be the source? Have you tried with different sources to rule out that the source you are using is broken?

If so, then you are better off just getting your money back, if you open the headphones and find out that you cannot fix it and then put it back together, there is a chance the retailer might refuse a refund if it finds evidence of you tampering with the product.

I've tried them on my laptop and PC, different ears, and different tips.
