anyway, it's called Arc. There is a GTK theme and then a Firefox plugin to make it fit in better.

Anyone have a decent idiot-proof guide for infinality?
Using Arch if that matters.
>>51232099
Because infinality isn't necessary these days. Most arch users don't know this because they just parrot the same thing over and over and at the same time talk about muh minimalism when they really are complete hypocrites.
>>51232137
You should be able to find the answer to this yourself if you use arch.

>>51233037

It's not about the font retard, it's the rendering which it not good.
>>51232318
Not necessary, but very easy to set up compared to manually building your own fontconfig from scratch and it's "good enough" for most people. If I had a decent monitor I'd make the effort but with my shitty t420 screen there's little difference between okay and perfect rendering.
>>51228920
not >>51228715
Arch is a very common theme I guess

It's not an effort to set up your own, just a couple of good fonts and a basic declaration, it's all that's necessary.

I've tried all these aftermarket font renderers like mactype gdipp, and I'm convinced all you cunts are meming.

Your screenshot shows text rendered at a large size, probably because of something like a hidpi screen. where most good font rendering shines is on smaller sizes (in pixels)
>>51233600
Not him but that does look pretty bad and it's nothing to do with no being bold like mac-cunts.

It's so sad how font rendering is still so shit on windows. I don't think it's as big of a deal on a low resolution screen like my laptop but it's more obvious on a high resolution screen.
>>51233605
Well I'm using 11pt font for most of my settings and a hidpi screen.
>>51233686
It must change the pixel size to look the same size as on 96 dpi, good technology going on there, but for most people still on 96 dpi, it looks awfully big. wouldn't know how to fix it though
>>51233618
>>51233633
I think it's screen dependent.
Different screens require different levels of hinting and antialiasing for text.
I use an old thinkpad x200t and when I connect an external monitor I have to change a few settings
>>51233686
Holy smokes that looks horrid
>>51233709
Isn't that just a resolution problem?
>>51233731
