TN is shit though, my primary use isn't gaymen. I have a 40" 1080p tv that i currently game on with a gtx660 and it's good enough for me. I want a pretty IPS type matte monitor that's reasonably color accurate...
I sit pretty far away from 2 17" 4:3 monitors on my desk and I constantly have to bend forward in my chair to see them.
I'm worried about the long term effects of this posture so I figure I may need a bigger display so that I can see... is 1440p worth it for screen real estate?

I want something that's color accurate and it supposedly has 100%SRGB but does that really matter anymore? Like are most IPS monitors going to be pretty color calibrated OOTB?
My TV is definitely not accurate and neither are my 4:3s...
I really like the look of the dell monitors with the thin bezel that go for cheap sometimes

it's a bit of a PR stunt that irks me quite a bit with it's dishonesty, especially as an rei member.
they had a garage sale last month that was basically the equivalent of a black friday sale, with staff working overnight and all day as customers lined up a day in advance. now they try to make sound like they're not a part of the consumerist attitude that everyone else embraces.

That's different though. Thanksgiving is a holiday that, for some strange reason, everyone needs to have off.
Also, people are really dumb and mob up on black friday. There's usually only one or two good items and then a handful of ok items. With online retailers having the same or better deals, there is usually no reason to go to a retail store for black friday.

I'd honestly guess around 400 if the architectural improvements of Pascal are a big enough jump with HBM 2.0. If this was a card I'd be using for a few years, I wouldn't mind, but there's something monumentally better coming "around the corner," not just a minor upgrade.

The second hand market doesn't really follow a direct price to performance ratio. Titan, Titan Z, 680, and 780 are all still relatively very expensive. 290 sells for $75 less than 970. Titan X should have adjusted when the 980ti was released but they can still go for $800+.
