>>
>>50795396
they said charging it for 1 minute gives you 9 hours of use. So isn't a big a deal as people make it, it's still pretty horrible design
>>
>>50795561
>steve jobs has probably burned a hole through the bottom of his coffin from all that turning
>implying he was ever buried
This was Apple's plan all along. They hooked him up to a generator and they're just trying to get him to spin fast enough to power the planet. Apple will be supplying 100% of all power in the world when they finish putting out all this retarded shit.
>>
aha
>>
>>50795437
Ok that's great but why is the charging connector on the bottom of it?

Jobs would have killed the engineer that brought this to him.
>>
>>50795437
I'll take 15 seconds to swap batteries for 8 more months than a stupid cable plugged into the bottom so I can't use it while it charges.
>>
>>50795658
It's Apple's way of preventing their users from using the magic mouse as a wired mouse. They don't want wires to be associated with their products.
>>

this is exactly correct

i'm sure it looks super elegant upside down or awkwardly sideways while it's charging, unlike any other wireless mouse that just looks and works like a wired mouse while charging

OS X works great with a trackpad. With how large the Magic Trackpad is, I see it more as a gesture mat for input with cursor control as a secondary feature. It's so useful, 4 finger swipe up and down is Home/End, 4finger swipe right and left changes workspaces, 3 finger tap at the top of the trackpad opens Mission Control, etc. I was pretty wary about replacing my mouse with a trackpad but I've come to love the shit out of it.

So how easy would it be to replace the HDD and ram in the new 27" imac? Thinking about getting one but don't want to have to pay an extra $1000 just to have a decent drive and ram. Also why the fuck does it have ddr3? I think skylake was all ddr4...

Oh, actually, as a companion to a mouse it could be great. I do enjoy flipping between desktops while working.

Not a hundred dollars great though, maybe I'll get an old one.
>>

I've been using Apple since they had that rainbow logo (pic related) and they used to actually be good and actually "user friendly", meaning things were obvious and easy to find. Now it's all DRM and obfuscation (even the library is hidden) and after the iPad I knew it was the beginning of the end.
>>
>>50798522
my only problem is that they probably gimped it like they gimped the keyboard
the ONLY reason I use the 1st gen keyboard is because its probably the only good feeling chicklet keyboard, and they already ruined it on the retinas/macbook
>>
>>50798521

The real reason they have done this is to hide the port on the bottom so it doesn't ruin the aesthetics.

Apple does this time and time again. They pick aesthetics over functionality, making shit products that look good on the outside and work awfully.
>>
>>50798554

Apple is responsible for popularizing the WIMP GUI and the mouse, there is no historical ambiguity here.
Microsoft and IBM only caught wind of these by virtue of Microsoft being software developers for the Mac, they had no relations with Xerox themselves.
Otherwise these technologies would have been left to languish at Xerox PARC indefinitely.

Use up to two AA batteries which I have to replace every couple months. I use rechargeable so I've never had an issue of being out of batteries as I always have a few spares charged and waiting.

Or you can use a logitech marathon mouse that gets 3 years off a pair of AA batteries.

I guess that would be too logical for Apple.
