Every router I've had the displeasure of using DD-WRT on has had issues at some point. Either it drops the connections, gives vague error messages (if any at all), disables the web UI constantly, etc. QoS was especially shitty on DD-WRT.
If you don't do a lot with your router it'll work fine, but after that it's a buggy mess. The only virtue DD-WRT has is that it's very widely supported.

I agree. I went from using Tomato on my RT-N66U to using DD-WRT on TP-Link WDR3600 when I moved out of my parent's place and setting up QoS was brutal.
Is OpenWRT any easier in setting up QoS?
