You can also opt out of any data collection in chrome by disabling all the functionality under "Pricacy" settings and changing the search engine. This way chrome will be no different than any other browser.

It's fine when only google have access to you personnal information, but imagine google being hacked, or backdoors discovered by malicious people.
Just block chrome from any internet access, then you can login to sites and stuff without your passwords getting sent to google
People do it for Windows 10 so I don't see why it wouldn't work here
