Anyone else likes linux, OSX, and Chrome OS (know this is linux too) but dislikes windows? It's so convenient when your OS has a package manager that allows you to update all your installed software with one button.

With windows you have to update each program individually.
>>
>>47788924
i used ubuntu for 6 months, as a windows user i was amazed by the stability of the system, i could install anything on it without worrying about if its gonna affect my system, when youre on windows if you install a tiny software it could affect the whole system.
And on windows you have to keep a antivirus running and always updated i mean all it takes to ruin your system is an infected usb drive.
i had to go back to windows because i have to use a windows only software.

This is exactly my experience. there was a lot of things i used to think it was normal and that they was problems inherently related to how a computer works. At first i was angry too for things that now makes a lot more sense like how the system folders are arranged. At this point i just couldn't come back to windows, it just baffles me how windows, having all the support from third parties and all the money they can spend, they still somehow manage to fuck up a lot of things that should be simple. Yes, windows can do everything, but it does everything in a clumsy way, the best analogy i can think at the moment is that windows feels like a newborn horse trying to walk for the first time.
>>
>>47788924
This is why complete n00bs should use Ubuntu. Its installer steps you through resizing, not deleting, your Windows and sets up a dual-boot system for you.
