Ive had a G3 since Christmas, and I've enjoyed it for the most part. Has some issues, but definitely better than my old LG lucid.
Bought a Lumia 635. Removable battery and SD card slot for $90. It just werks.

I want to be able to easily replace my battery after a year.
I'm interested in seeing if the 808 in the G4 outpaces the S805. Given that the 805 was a "last hurrah" for the s4 architecture, and an ultra high end processor on a very mature arch that qualcomm knows very well, versus a newer and in theory better arch, but with fewer high performance cores (it's a 4xLITTLE2xbig config) and qualcomms apparent issues with learning how to tame it.
Fully expecting the new adreno to do better than the old one though.

this is very valid, however I'd just like to add that in my experience, the phones with non swappable batteries aren't particularly difficult to service in this regard, and you're only doing it once a year (or more realistically I feel 2 years, which is encroaching on the EOL on support for the device anyway)
Even my Z3, with it's waterproof design, took less than 10 minutes. Used an electric hotplate to loosen the glue on the back and lifted it up with a suction cup, then the battery was right there, being held down by a single small phillips screw.

If the G4 had front facing speakers it would be the perfect phone for me. It has everything one could want. I don't care what anyone says here, QHD looks amazing. I've used 720p phones. So looking at a 1440p display. There is a substantial difference in clarity. I just disliked the G3's colors, but G4 fixed everything. Its literally the perfect phone.
I read somewhere that the G4 has the option to get a ceramic back. Did I dream that or is it true?
